Best Birthday Present of
All! Lisa Shrinks Two Sizes with the 6-Week
Challenge!
Six weeks before
her birthday, Lisa walked into the Studio with a goal. She told
Kathy (our Studio manager) that she was turning 30 exactly 6 weeks
from that day and she wanted to tone and tighten her body. After
four children, Lisa’s primary focus was her abdominals. “I love
being a mom of four,” said Lisa, “but my fourth child really did a
number on my abs!”
Lisa decided to
take the 6 Week Fitness Challenge. She met with Roxanne and they
discussed her goals and interests. With Lisa’s demanding schedule of
juggling her husband’s calendar, after school activities and
household responsibilities, they decided that the late evening
classes (8:30 p.m.) and a weekly early afternoon appointment for
Pilates Reformer was perfect.
Each week, Lisa
diligently attended Cardio Kickbox, Power Ball, Pump/Butts-n-Guts
and then worked on the Pilates Reformer. She even tried Spinning®!
She began to notice immediate changes. “My energy increased and I
was in a good mood more often,” she reflected. “I slept better and
have more energy than before and I’ve discovered that I actually
like to exercise.”
The week of her
birthday, Lisa tried on one of her favorite dresses that she wore
before her fourth child was born. The great news? She’d shrunk by
two sizes in six weeks and fit into the dress!
When her husband
took her to downtown Chicago for a beautiful celebration night on the
town, Lisa stopped by the Studio to showcase her new look. Her
dazzling smile radiated her pride and joy in her accomplishments.
“I stopped focusing on the weight so much and started to think about
inches,” she remarked. “I lost inches, toned up and made my goal by
my birthday!”
Lisa shares these
gems of wisdom:
Make the time for yourself. It doesn’t
matter how busy you are – you have to invest in you, even if
it’s just an hour a day or you’ll pull your hair out.
Drink a lot of water! It’s true – keeping
your body hydrated makes a lot of difference, not just for
weight management, but for overall well being.
Stay happy – always have a positive
attitude! Your mental outlook is key to your success.
