School Background Roxanne’s Studios is a privately owned
school that was founded in 2003. We have two locations: the School of
Dance is located at 3450 Montgomery Road, Suite 19, Aurora IL (in the
Meadow Lakes Plaza) and the school of Pilates and Fitness is located at
2211 S Eola Road, Suite B, Aurora IL (in the CVS Plaza – intersection of
hafenrichter and S Eola Road).

We serve the Naperville, Aurora,
Plainfield, Oswego and surrounding Western Suburbs with approximately
800 students attending weekly classes between our 2 locations. Our
dance school is evenly divided into our children’s youth program
(offering full curriculum) and our Egyptian Belly Dance program. Our
Pilates and Fitness program caters primarily to adult women.
We realize that most of our students will
not become professional dancers or fitness coaches. We strive to
provide a fun but educational environment with well organized
administration and first rate equipment and facilities.

Client Services
Our Client Services team is a dynamic team of individuals who love
working with the public and helping our students and their families. The
center of the Studio is the Client Services team. Responsible for client
relations, managing the telephones, general office administration and
more, successful Client Services team members have a “can do” attitude,
pay attention to the details and have a lot of fun. Each person goes the
extra mile for clients and knows that they make a difference. Client
Services are valued as a highly visible and extremely important part of
the Studio.
Seamstress Our Seamstresses are creative, responsible and innovative.
Their greatest reward is seeing their work come to life on our dancers
as they showcase their dance on stage for their family and friends.
Responsible for accurate measurements, sewing costumes for the
competitive dance team, and costume alterations, our seamstresses thrive
on taking care of fine details, precision work and making our dancers
look as good as possible when on stage.
Dance, Pilates and Fitness Faculty
Instructors have the freedom to express their artistic style and love
for people through their teaching. Here are reasons why faculty members
choose to teach at our school:
1. Small class sizes
– We limit class sizes to make classes easier to
control and monitor and for teachers to give more personalized
attention to students. Our classes for ages 2-5 are limited to 6
students. If the class size grows to 7-8, we add an assistant so the
ratio for students is either 1 teacher to 6 students or 2 teachers
to 8 students.
For classes ages 6
and up, the class size limit is 12 students. For classes that grow
between 12 – 18 students, an assistant is added so the teacher to
student ration is one teacher to 12 students or 2 teachers to 18
students. one instructor for 12 student s and an assistant is added
for classes between 12-18 students.
2. Full time administrative
support – In many students, there is no
receptionist on duty. This means that the teachers are faced with
administration details when they should be concentrating on
teaching. We have full time Client Services representatives on duty
during class times to handle routine questions and details that
arise.
3. Floating Marley dance floors in
all dance studios – We use professional
floating Marley dance floors in all of our dance studios. Our dance
floors rest on a system of 700 high density foam block. This dance
floor helps prevent injuries and fatigue. A good quality floor is a
consideration if you are going to be teaching for a few hours each
day. A supportive quality floor allows you to protect your most
important assets – your body and your ability to teach.
4. Beautiful upscale
environment, batteries, microphone supplied, full state of the art
sound system – For Pilates and Fitness
faculty, classes are held at our prestigious studio located at 2211
South Eola Road. With cherry-wood style flooring, equipment in
excellent condition and a state of the art sound system, you’ll know
that you are a valued team member. We supply batteries, the
microphone and have a large library of CD music available for use at
the Studio.
5. We deal with Uncle Sam so you don't get an
ugly surprise at tax time – many
studios treat their faculty as independent contractors, as opposed
to employees. At Roxanne’s, you are an employee, so we handle all of
your social security, employment tax and other federally and state
mandated taxes. That way, you won’t get an unwanted surprise from
Uncle Sam at the end of the tax year.
6. Extras taken care of
– We try to take care of all the extra
details throughout the year. Teachers are not required to collect
any fees and do not handle any costume measurements. We have a full
time costume seamstress that measures, alters and (in the case of
competitive dance teams) sews costumes to teachers’ specifications.
We also take care of all the organization of yearly recitals. We try
to have everything well organized so that teachers are free to
concentration on teaching and nothing else.
