Ms. Brittnie
- Youth Dance and Dance
Dynamics Company Director
With nearly two decades of dance
training and experience,
Brittnie brings amazing talent
and passion to the Studio.
She started dancing at the age
of 3 and began intense training
at 13. She auditioned for
and was accepted into the Chicago Academy for the Arts,
a private college-preparatory
high school dedicated to the
performing arts. Over the
course of her training, Brittnie
has studied with top teachers
such as Randy Duncan, Kirby
Reed, Anna Paskevska, Avnun
Yakabov, Rachelle Oschner, Jen
Lano, Watmora Casey, Bruce
Stegman, Joel Hall, Ted Jackson,
Nicole Del-Rae, Eduardo Vilaro,
and Dan Karate. She is currently
a student at Columbia College
Chicago, pursuing a bachelor’s
degree in Choreography.
Brittnie is classically trained
in Pointe, Tap, Rhythm Tap, Hip
Hop, African, Modern, Lyrical
and Jazz. She has taught
since the late-90’s and has
experience teaching ages 2
through adult. Her
performance experience includes
“Vegas Nights,” “Boulder Jazz
Dance Workshop Performance
(principal dancer and student in
the intensive workshop)” and
special performer for “Dance
Chicago.” Her
choreographies include “Seven
Brides for Seven Brothers,” and
John Robert Powers Dance
Team for IMTA (International
Talent and Model Association in
New York and Los Angeles).
Brittnie has also been featured

Roxanne’s. Brittnie oversees
the school’s curriculum, teaches
multiple classes a week in all
styles including, jazz, hip hop,
rhythm tap, lyrical, ballet and
tot classes. She also
auditions and hires dance
faculty and is the founder,
director and lead choreographer
of the Dance Dynamics Dance
Company.
Ms. Lauren-
Hip Hop, Jazz, Poms
Lauren has
been dancing since she could walk. With
a deep passion for dance, she was
dancing 30 hours a week by the age of
seven. As she continued to grow as a
person and a dancer she was performing
more and more. Lauren has danced in
shows for The Joffery Ballet, Lil
Wayne, James Brown, Mariah Carey and
many more. Lauren has been training in
all different styles of dance for 17
years and has been teaching for 4 years.
Lauren attended The Chicago Academy
for the Arts for high school and
trained with top teachers such as, Randy
Duncan, Anna Paskevska, Joel Hall and
Kirby Reed.
Lauren is
formally trained in every style of dance
including, Jazz, Hip Hop, Poms, Ballet,
Tap, Modern, Lyrical, and Pointe. She
continues to perform and now
choreographs for various artsits and
teachers all around the Chicago land
area. Lauren has a special place in her
heart for working with Children and
loves to share her passion and drive for
dance.
This is
Lauren's first year with us and we are
so excited to have her on board. We are
looking forward to having a fantastic
dancer and enthusiastic teacher here at
the academy.
Ms. Christal
- Ballet and Pointe
Christal
Walls was born in Dallas, Texas and
began her dance training under the
tutelage of Tanju and Pat Tuzer.
She trained there for over fifteen years
where she danced many roles. Christal attended many summer programs
including AmericanBallet Theatre,
School of American Ballet, The Kirov
Ballet, and The JoffreyBallet.
She graduated from Southern Methodist
University in 2003 with a Bachelor of
Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Soon after graduating she joined the
Bruce Wood DanceCompany in Fort Worth,
Texas. She performed and toured
the country with the company for two
years. Christal moved to Chicago
in June of 2005 and began dancing on
scholarship at the Lou Conte Dance
Studio, home of the acclaimed
Hubbard Street Dance Company. She
has performed with The House Theatre
Company and the Baliwick Theatre Company
as well as teaching at studios around
the Chicagoland area.
This is Ms.
Christal's 2nd year with us at Roaxnne's
and we couldn't be happier or more
blessed to have a such an incredible
ballet instructor with us for another
fantastic year!
Mrs.
Amelia- Hip Hop, Jazz Funk,
Lyrical Jazz, Lyrical Ballet,
Tot classes and Dance Dynamics
Dance Company Assistant Director
Amelia started her dance career
in Indiana before heading off to
receive a Bachelor of Science in
Dance Performance at Ball State
University. During her time
there, Amelia was voted “Most
Notable Dancer in and Ensemble”
by both her facility and peers.
Upon graduation Amelia started
teaching and performing with
local dance studios and
companies in Northern Indiana.
After moving to Chicago Amelia
taught at various studios and
park districts as well as doing
choreography for local high
school dance team competitions.
After getting married in 2003,
she and her husband moved to LA
where Amelia took dance classes
at Millennium Dance Complex-home
to Wade Robson and where other
artists such as Pink and Justin
Timberlake prepare for their
concert tours-as well as
performing with the North
Hollywood Dance Theatre. Amelia
is very excited to be with
Roxanne’s teaching all levels
from babies to advanced! In
August of 2006 the Hendryx
family welcomed their newest
member, Zachary Thomas Hendryx,
to the family. He’s a
beautiful, healthy boy. Amelia
also has a nickname of Milli and
her favorite food happens to be
Shrimp Tempura rolls. She could
eat them everyday.
This is Mrs. Amelia's 1st year
with us at the academy and we
are so excited to have her. She
teaches multiple
classes a week in all styles of
dance and is also the assistant
director and secondary
choreographer of the Dance
Dynamics Dance Company.
Ms. Becca- Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical,
Ballet, and Tot Classes
Ms.
Becca has been dancing since the age
of 6. She has studied in all areas
of dance including, Tap, Jazz,
Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical
Theatre and Modern. During her many
years of dance she has also taken
classes with with numerous master
dance instructors such as; Ted
Jackson, Michelle Broviak, Jay Fagen,
Kacy Kombs, Jory Bowling, Sarah
Ford, Missy Ridgeway, and Savion
Glover.
Ms.
Becca danced competitively for 10
years and her ability achieved her
high scores at all Regional and
National Dance Competitions. Ms.
Becca was an intern at Walt Disney
World, Florida in 2004. She was a
cast member in the Entertainment
Department. She enjoyed being
several different characters; she
has also danced in parades and took
lessons in "Stilt Walking"
As a
student at Gotta Dance Studio, she
was awarded the well sought after
title "Miss All Star" by her dance
instructors for her dedication to
dance, love of dance, and her all
around ability. Ms. Becca has also
performed semi-professionally for
the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Human
Rhythm Project, Clodwell Banker
Conventions, and Taste of Chicago.
Ms.
Becca has taught in every capacity
for the past 12 years, as an
assistant teacher, substitute
teacher and teacher and her
strengths are in tap, ballet, and
jazz. She has worked with adults and
children of all ages in all levels
of dance.
This is
Ms. Becca's first year with us and
we are so exited to welcome such a
talented dancer and teacher to our
academy.
