IL) Roxanne Larcher of Naperville, IL, who dances under the
name Raksanna, was recently honored to be invited by
international belly dance icon, Raqia Hassan, to teach in
the world famous Ahlan Wa Salan belly dance festival.
Held each
year in June, this Cairo, Egypt based festival attracts
nearly 1,500 dancers from across the world. This year, the

Little Egypt: Queen of Raqs Sharqi. judges were world-renown
Dr. Mo Geddawi, co-founder of the Reda Troupe, Randa Kamel,
one of the most sought after dancers in the world, and Beba,
highly respected Egyptian dance artist and former member of

Held in Dallas, this competition is
home to the annual event that attracts dancers from all
across the US, Canada and Central America. The competition
was complimented by Master Class dance workshops throughout
